Strategies For Stress-Free Relationships

The main cause of stress: Relationships

The fundamental relationship I need to get right is the relationship with myself, as then all the others will fall into place. Loving myself from the inside out, to do this I need to take time ‘in’, see the beauty and strength inside, experience them and then take them out into my life.

Spiritual aspects of managing stress
– Learning how to connect with ourselves and others. First to know myself, I have to be in “my” company. Go to that sacred, quiet space inside -which we all have- to find your treasures. Dive very deep into the ocean, the treasures are at the bottom and covered with the barnacles of negativity, self sabotaging, etc. I have so much potential in that jewel and I need to unlock it. As I find out these treasures –my qualities-, enthusiasm comes. I start to love myself and not needing other people’s approval. As a social being I am interdependent, but at the same time I am independent of others to make me feel happy.

– When I look at someone, let me see the best, the goodness and the jewels rather than the stones. It will help the relationship to flourish. Provide a bridge, see something good about them. When the mind is full of ugliness, I can’t see the beauty. Only when we see the beauty, can we let go of the illusion.

Health promotion of the spirit
To rest the mind: Put waste and negative thinking aside. They pollute our minds, which is as harmful as outside pollution. Offer silence to your mind.

Exercise and good food for the mind: Think and create positive thoughts; good, pure thoughts; thoughts that energise etc. We need to give time to ourselves so we can know, understand, and experience our true and positive self.

Meditation is using thoughts actively to go into that space of silence, a state of deep experience of that space.

Spiritual qualities to use in life to help us free from stress
Forgiving ourselves and others, this means having good wishes without taking pain.

– In spiritual terms, likes attract likes. If I am happy with myself, I give happiness. When I am happy with myself, I am not open to influences.
– Compromising my truth doesn’t make me free. We need to be clean and clear when we say something, so others won‘t get defensive.
– If I am reacting I am making their problem my problem.
Knowing and understanding of the situation brings our best qualities out.

It feels beautiful when we give out goodness because we are using our truth.
