So Many Choices To Be Ourselves

So Many Choices To Be Ourselves p20

What is it that I am actually deciding? My future?
What is the intention behind my decisions? To lead me to my ultimate goal?
What is my ultimate goal? To live my purpose?

When we clearly know our purpose or objective- then we have something to base our decisions on. To know our purpose we need to become more aware of who we are, otherwise how can we live our purpose?

We define ourselves as human (body) beings (soul) The human part we know well. The soul – the one observing the world from within this body- tends to remain a bit of a secret- it is a reality that we do not taste too often and so we tend to live in unawareness of the inner being.

Unaware of the soul we wear the mantle of the identity given to us by the outside world: from our family, culture, the clothes we wear, our friends, the environment we are associated with. When all these things are removed though… we are just left with ‘the being’. Just imagine your body becoming light and disappearing… just the consciousness that you are remains.

When the world becomes peace-less there is a need for us to become aware once again of ‘the being’. This is to journey inwards- to create a relationship with the someone that is you. It is to learn to love yourself- where there is love there is understanding and total acceptance. Then, no longer trying to be like someone else, we are free to be ourselves and to really acknowledge and appreciate the unique self.

When this confidence about ‘who I am’ is born within us, the mists dissipate and a there is a lot of clarity within. This power of clarity, born from this relationship of love with ourselves, guides us and enables us to live with care, compassion and mercy for the self- this path of caring for the self is to have mercy for the self. Loving others then is automatic and you will also understand your purpose –what it is you are here to give to others- and its importance to others.

There are such a variety of thoughts. Sometimes we are influenced by negative ones, anger, greed, I want… Aim to only perform actions that only give peace and happiness to others as what we give is what comes back to us. In giving to others we give to ourselves too.

Thoughts of sorrow begin in ‘me’ and first cause conflict and sorrow within ‘me.’ Know that you have the inner attributes of peace, love and happiness. Know the things you have forgotten. Understand them again. Forgotten and we are not able to stay constantly loving to all. Remembering we are lifted out of the limited to be ‘the soul’ full of peace, love and joy and enabled to share these gifts with others.
