Reject ‘Rejection’

So… someone does not like your idea, your painting, your vision or think that you are right for the job etc…

Do you accept or reject their rejection? If you accept it… you are accepting discouragement and seeing yourself as they are seeing you.

However:
a) It is a test: to see how much you believe in your idea and know your own value. Maybe it just is not the right time for my ideas as yet.
b) It is reflecting back to me my dependencies, needs, wants, etc. Am I looking for confirmation or appreciation or wanting to be liked? All these things make us weak.

Think how many artists, new ideas, etc. were at first rejected. What would have happened if they had accepted rejection?

Instead…
Reject your reaction to their rejection and maintain your own self-respect i.e. your belief in your own capacity and don’t give up. Instead of being influenced by others reactions to you retain your own self-belief and ability to respond.

See criticism as your friend, sometimes it comes to make us firm in believing in ourselves. It confirms us in our gift and makes us stronger. My critic is my friend… they must be seeing me as having the potential to be perfect or they would not see a discrepancy in me.

Be considerate of why another may reject your idea etc. Maybe you are challenging them? Maybe they are fearful of you or of losing their position?

Know that your gifts are yours and that nothing can destroy them… don’t loose faith in yourself. You are a being of pure energy with your own natural powers and inner qualities. When I am aware of my inner self then I become one who influences rather than one who is influenced. I become a light in the darkness.

Each of us is unique, no-one is like another. In the machinery of the world each has their own part and each is important… and so I respect each ones task. Today my part may be that of a a small screw, but without it the machine falls apart and tomorrow…

If I have a diamond I know its worth and I am not influenced when someone tells me it is only worth £30! I know its value regardless of what another might say. In the same way know your own value…you are that diamond. Know your own worth and reject the falsehood confidently and courageously and without ego or dislike or fear. Reject rejection with the opposite positive force – positive power automatically diffuses negativity.

When I think that others should respect me I am rejecting my own self. My value isn’t dependent on anything. Know the difference between need and receiving support/encouragement.
