Love Will Save the Day

True love is an experience in which we feel acceptance, freedom and no expectations.
It is the core of our own being that we are looking for more than anything else: peace, love, power, happiness and wisdom. As 70% of the body is made of water and cannot last long without it so the soul is made of these qualities and looks for them. In meditation aim to connect to this inner part of you.

There are different levels of love: love for the self, for others, for matter and for the Higher Source. To love that Source I need to love myself first by recognising my own value.

How can I create/improve love?
The first step
is to create feelings of love for the self. Observe your inner dialogue, your relationship with your self. Also observe your relationships with others because they are mirrors of your relationship with yourself.

Tell yourself 100 times a day: ‘I love and respect myself’. Create this feeling. I have to re-educate myself to think positively about myself. This is what nourishes us: self-care.
Next is to accept my mistakes. If I don’t I am holding myself back. I can heal my own heart by beginning to be more accepting. I need understanding for this.

Here are some ideas to help us understand and move on:

  • See life like a drama and the self and others as actors. Then I don’t need to judge because I know that everyone is just playing their own role.
  • Everything we get back from life is the result of our own actions.
  • When someone or something irritates you, look inside, because it is reflecting what is inside me. ‘Why I am reacting?’ ‘Where can I improve?’ This requires honesty, cleanliness and lightness. Use situations as mirrors. You begin to heal yourself by addressing what is happening inside yourself.
  • Visualise embracing / hugging the person that you are resisting. Then I can begin to connect with the positivity of that person. Whatever I am doing I am doing it to myself.
  • What really matters is the quality of my life, nothing else. Go with the flow. Resisting hurts the self so much.
  • To make my heart bigger, I need to finish all expectations. Have the desire to become like a mother in your attitude: giving constantly.
  • Keep asking: What are my values?
  • There is such a sense of freedom when I can choose what I want to think. I can teach myself to give directions to my thoughts. The mind is like a child it needs a lot of attention. I need self-love and respect for that.

Opposites of love: dependency and rejection.
I am love, but I can’t share love if I don’t have understanding. Love and understanding are different dynamics of your life. When you see what is behind a negative situation your heart opens up.

Why do we sometimes reject love even though we give love to others?
It might be coming from not genuinely knowing your own value. You don’t feel worthy of love. You need to connect 1st with the most elevated part of yourself and 2nd with the Divine.

If I connect with the Source it becomes a mirror for me to see my qualities. Then I can see myself through the eyes/ heart of the Supreme. It is the most powerful meditation experience to feel totally accepted without any condition. My past doesn’t exist any more.
