Frogs to Princes

To become a prince requires a step of courage to do something new – if you do you will never be bored again!

To become a prince is to become royal. King in Spanish is “rey”, which means to be real. To be a prince is to be real, to be truly one’s self. Also, a king is someone who thinks of how to benefit many; goes beyond likes and dislikes; performs their duty without being influenced by fear… to become a prince means to do what is right.

We are brought up by three authorities:
1) Parents: includes culture, traditions.
2) Education: includes training for a profession be it a mechanic or lawyer – each has its own set of rules.
3) Religion: includes morality, ethics.

We juggle these three, and sometimes they may come into conflict with each other. We may then choose one above the others. We conform because we want to belong, feel safe and be loved. In not conforming there can be a sense of letting go of what is right.

We also need to consider the authority of our own conscience? What is it that you really want to do in your life? When we live our lives on purpose and fully then when our time comes to go there are no regrets.

Go Inside
It is well known that once you are caught in a storm the safest place to be is in the eye of the storm. So too with self-transformation, find and move into in the “I“ of the storm of your life.

There are 3 different levels. Draw a point =”I” then a circle around it =”me”, and then an outer circle =”my”

a) “my”: possessions, body (age, colour, etc.), family, friends, work (skills). When we meet people for the first time we often talk about this outer circle.
b) “me”: personality, emotions, dreams, beliefs, likes, dislikes, hopes and fears. If we meet that person again we might talk about these things. Even though these things are closer to our hearts, we still say “my.”
c) “I“: the soul that is not visible through the eyes. The soul is full of love and full of happiness.

Consider: most of a lot of what we do is concerned with our outermost circle, to make it perfect. We believe that if we can fix it then we will experience peace, happiness and love. Why did you buy that particular model of car? Why did you choose to live where you live? Why did you pursue the profession you did?

Instead of fixing ‘my’ and ‘me’, we can go into ‘I’
Ask yourself: What do I really want? Who am I? Go to “I” and explore “I” – become real. This is the greatest happiness we can know, to become real. Nothing else can beat it.

When we connect to “I” our next thoughts will be real, filled with peace and aligned with our purpose and conscience. The only effort we need to make is to go inside and start to live from the inside out, everything else around us then starts to transform naturally.
