Discover What You Really Want

Experiment and play. This is best done within a framework of understanding, such as the ‘om shanti’ principle, which states that by nature I am and you are intrinsically peaceful and therefore positive and so powerful. Life then becomes an experiment and a journey based on exploring this.

If you don’t have a backdrop like the ‘om shanti’ principle then look at what attracts you the most and you admire the most. Nine times out of ten these things will be reflecting back to you your core values. Then play with these, you will get to know yourself and have fun at the same time in this way.

We need to be willing to play though and I need to trust in myself, trusting that if I don’t know what to do that I will get to know. Also we need to feel comfortable playing and with getting things wrong; this is okay we have just learnt how not to do something.

If you are uncomfortable it means that you don’t want to play. Ask yourself ‘Why?’ Look out for expectations. We don’t need to put expectations on ourselves; to aim high is different from expectations. When are being ruled by expectations we stop being open, creative and seeing the opportunities. Words like ‘should’, ‘could’ and ‘would’ are usually an indication of expectations being in play.

The opposite to playing is getting caught in your own personal story, sometimes we even get stuck in just one paragraph of it. Then we start taking life too seriously. We have stopped playing and are festering on a paragraph.
