Life will always continue to move on, but that doesn’t mean we have to get lost in the game of life. No, rather than letting life pass by, create goals, aims and objectives, something to work towards, that will give meaning to your life. Short-term goals enable us to be in the present, so keep them short – things you want to do, be and achieve on a day-to-day basis. Long-term goals give our life direction. Opportunities, mistakes and situations all work to keep us on track to reach our goal.
You are here for a reason. You are who you are for a reason. What do you want from this so-called game of life? What is your purpose in life?
There is absolutely no point in just going through the motions. In your day-to-day life, put your heart and soul into being your best and live life to the maximum. Each day that you are here on earth is another day for you to learn, grow, prosper, share, care, and even inspire.
If you do feel like you are just living life on repeat, and not really getting anything out of it, let’s change that. Incorporate small changes that make you feel excited, passionate and just simply happy. Try doing a new activity once a week. You know, just for an hour – one where you have no idea how it’s going to turn out. Take a new route to/from work/home. Try juggling your routine up once in a while, so that you don’t feel so stale. Just have fun: that’s the motto. Live with your heart and soul combined and just have fun.
Fear has a way of stopping us from going out in a limb, and restricts us from trying new things. Don’t let fear stand in your way. When something new crops up, or you have to do something outside your comfort level, take a moment and breathe. Close your eyes. Visualise yourself doing this task. Can you see it? Is it possible? Do you even know what the ending will be? The reality is that no one knows how things will turn out, so there really is no harm in trying it out. Don’t let opportunities pass you by simply because you are worried. Grab life with both hands. Realise that you have nothing to lose, but everything to gain.
Living is all about the actions we perform – to get the best out of life. But have you ever thought about how much of a pivotal role your mind plays in how you live your life? When something goes wrong, we are scared, or even bored, our thought patterns play up so much. They cause us to feel pressured and stressed. Instead we can choose what thoughts we want to have and make them ones that will support our actions
Be mindful of the actions you perform and what you’re getting yourself into. Remember, at the end of the day this is your life, so play it by your rules. Do what you think is right and get ahead in the game. If it’s not for you, then let it be and move on to the next thing. Be cautious and yet spontaneous.
Be bold and have the courage to dare to live. This is your life. Live it and make each moment count. Live life to the fullest. When you wake up in the morning, stretch yourself and just create the positive thought: “Today, my life is going to be amazing. Why? Because I am going to make it amazing”. When the day is over, go to sleep and wake up the next day. There is one repetition you will be allowed throughout all of this and that is: “Today, my life is going to be…”
