Tuning into the cosmos is about working with the cosmos towards integration on an individual level and a wider level. Now we are fragmented and so is the world. When there is integration we are able to live in harmony, accepting different ways of living and seeing how they enrich life rather then feeling threatened by differences. To create a better world we need to come back into harmony. We can attain this for ourselves and the world by tuning into the cosmos and working with it using pure intention. We all have the cosmos in our hands.
To have pure intentions means we need to go beyond ego (the need to impress), greed etc. In order to go beyond these we first need to become full and content, as when we are this we automatically find that we no longer need other peoples praise etc. We experience that we have everything that we need and this allows us to be genuinely loving and generous i.e. to really not want anything back. We have become masters of our own lives and find that it is no longer necessary to ‘ask the cosmos’ for anything as the cosmos now moves around us and things just come to us as we need them.
All the things we ask for seem to fall into one of three categories – wealth, peace or the ideal partner. Why do we seek these things? Where does the idea of them come from? Is it that we have had these things in the past? Have you ever found yourself attempting to re-create a happy past experience, maybe from your childhood or later in life?
Nothing you seek for is outside of yourself. Everything you yearn and crave for is inside you, have you looked there yet for what you are seeking? How do we journey within to find these treasures that we long for? Meditation is a method to retreat into the cosmos of our self. Meditation means to renew ourselves, to re-discover our inner potential and to emerge the powers (capabilities) that lie within the soul to love, to be at peace and to be joyful whatever is happening around one.
Metaphysics also teaches us that everything we give out comes back to us. So as we discover and share our inner qualities of peace, love and happiness and our inner strengths the outcome will be that this will be what comes back to us too from outside.
Becoming full and a master of our own life has two aspects:
A) Tuning into the cosmos that is ‘me.’ This awakens the qualities and powers within our inner being, pure truth, peace, power and love are at the centre of our inner being. Awakened, these qualities give us an inner strength that make us powerful in the face of adversity and allow us to attain inner happiness.
B) Tuning into the cosmos and align with the Supreme Soul. When we tune into God then things really do happen and work and things we have never even imagined come dancing before us. The tiniest of pure intentions brings a huge response from God and the cosmos, both are very generous.
Examples of the powers of the soul:
a) power over the mind; to be able to put a full stop to my run away thoughts.
b) the power to withdraw into our centre and recharge and also to act when is needed.
c) the power to choose; to discern the right/ wrong thing to do and to decide on my response.
d) the power to face any situation that comes; ‘to feel the fear and do it anyway.’
Our inner power is always greater than any external situation.
e) the power to co-operate and be flexible with others.
f) the power to tolerate (this could be illness or or other’s personalities); this is really the power of love. To love despite the insults etc.
There is one quality that lets us master the powers and order them at will, this is patience.
