Tools of Spirituality

1) Detachment: this is to not allow sorrow to enter one’s heart. As when we do become overwhelmed by those sorrowful feelings, we become a victim of sorrow and we are no longer able to help others, rather we sink together. When we remain detached we are able to uplift others and bring them out of their sorrow. Detachment allows us to have a deep empathy for others and to be able to act with the warmth of love.

2) Putting a full stop to a thought or a stream of thoughts… you really don’t add anything more or return to it. Here we develop control over our thoughts and begin to consciously choose what we want to think; thoughts that nourish us or drain us.

3) Determination is to have a good thought and to do it immediately. You are that determined that you don’t hesitate for even a split second. If you do, then doubt, questions, fear etc. come in and then you have to struggle. If you are so determined that you act immediately you become fearless as you don’t give fear an opening.

What is spirituality about?
It is about being your real self, living from the inside out, being a soul. You don’t have a soul, you are a soul and the state of health of ‘I’ the soul’ is very important. This is what spirituality is about, we become more and more healthy the more we go into the depth of our original state of being.

We have gone far from our original nature, it is only a thought away though to return to it. I am a soul and my original nature is of peace and love. Truth is my original state of being. The soul is the seed of my life and it is full of beautiful qualities that can strengthen me. Acting on these qualities my motivation is good and my actions are filled with understanding and care.

The other part is to connect with God. God is a powerful force of goodness in the world. He has also given us free will. He offers us to empower us with the energy of His goodness, an energy that transforms.

When we go into the depth of ‘Who am I?’ and once again become that original pure energy that we are -not caught in external needs and wants- then we have the possibility of connecting with God. In that pure state of my being we can connect to God and the strength of His love and goodness flow gently to us.

Spiritual energy is gentle and filled with goodness. It allows us to practically turn our lives around. It shifts our perspective and we see the potential for goodness in the world and in others. Spirituality is about bringing that goodness into my life and being a transformative energy in the world.

We switch the light at the end of the tunnel out (in our own minds). It has not been switched off though, it is still on.
