The subconscious mind is the unconscious mind. It is the hidden part of the iceberg. It is the big, heavy suitcase that we are carrying balanced on the top of our head. The one that, if asked, ‘What is in that suitcase that is so important that you never put it down?’ we would find ourselves answering something like, ‘I don’t really know. I have forgotten.’
Stored here are all our past experiences and memories, the ones that we no longer remember. They create our automatic behavioural patterns; reactions; fears and phobias; unaccountable likes and dislikes; dreams and the thoughts that pop into our heads from out of nowhere. Also, the skills we are born with, our natural talents and abilities, our values and qualities… these are the potential of our subconscious mind.
To tap into the best of your subconscious mind
What are you focusing on?
It is said that where our attention goes our energy flows, so focus on your inner qualities (peace, love, happiness, truth) and not your mistakes and weaknesses. Then, play the game of seeing the best in others too.
Build-up your self-respect
Set out to discover your own intrinsic values. Even if we make a mistake or the project we are working on isn’t succeeding we are still valuable. See yourself as a valuable being and as being full of positive qualities. Open your heart to yourself; don’t try to Sbe someone else. Also, by increasing our self respect we decrease our fear of ourselves (of the things we don’t like so much)
Live in the present
Be present and put the best of you into every moment… your peace, happiness, love, enthusiasm etc. Give 100%. If there is sadness in our consciousness by giving happiness we enable our consciousness to shift, rather than by dwelling on the sadness and trying to figure it all out.
Strengthen your intellect
We tend to think and act (react) with no space in-between and then regret it later on. We can begin to change this by strengthening our intellect, our power to discern and decide. Our intellect acts as a filter. It filters our thoughts and reactions through the filter of our values. In order for it to work well first we need to be clear of our aim (purpose.) We can then further strengthen our intellect with reflection, a willingness to learn and meditation.
Become an observer of yourself
Practice stepping back, out of your mind, and see your thoughts and reactions as if you were observing someone else. If there are some things that you don’t like don’t repress, suppress or be influenced by them. Accept them and then re-direct your mind to your positive qualities and values. Cleaning is a process, so be patient and one day you will wake up and discover you that you have become your best.
i am looking to clear my mind and tap into subconscious mind with your help.
I think you have summed up everything in these 5 points in your blog. I will definitely share it with my community.
I wish if only people were conscious about getting access to their subconscious mind and using it to their advantage … this world would be a much better place for everybody. Our subconscious is like a dumping ground for everything that we experience in our lives since childhood. And in order to get over our past emotions, if any, we need to consciously let go off all thoughts associated with that.
Tapping into one’s subconscious mind can be the deciding factor in a person’s life. The amount of power enriching techniques possessed by our subconscious mind is mind blowing.
Thankyou – your article has helped me consider “deployment of my stuck self” the part in my psyche that is not moving forward”. Obviously ? the part protecting my psyche from a past event involving one negative, or several negative events which have changed my point of balance (involving other people places things or events) in my mind body and spirit – unconscious matter or “inner space” where things beyond my conscious understanding and control have taken place and I was hurt very badly in my psyche, damaged by the trauma and stuck subsequently. Movement is required. I do need to feel safe now to move. ❤️
Meditation has long been renowned for being a great way to get in touch with your subconscious mind to see how it’s really working. Even just practicing for ten minutes a day can have huge benefits on the way your mind works and the health of your wellbeing.
