Outer Abundance-Inner Abundance
We are ‘programmed’ to accumulate ‘externals’ in the belief that this is ‘abundance’. The result? We are either worried about how to accumulate or worrying about how to hold on to what we have accumulated. Inner abundance? Health. Peace. Love. Happiness. Contentment. Satisfaction. These too we primarily seek from the ‘material’ world. The problem? They come and then go. The result? We end up constantly searching.
The issue? We are looking for things of the inner heart in the physical world. We are in the wrong awareness and pursuing false dreams (illusions); false trails; other’s journeys and going around in circles, spiraling downward. We become disempowered, confused and disillusioned. We are constantly seeking. There may even be moments of clarity but we are so caught in the flow that it isn’t so easy to step out of it/go against it.
Spirituality says: all that you seek is within you. The inner journey is the one that leads to fulfilment and satisfaction.
We have two choices; to pursue the material landscape or the spiritual one. These two are separated by the door of awareness. Spirituality is inviting us to step into another world. The pull of this material world though can be difficult to break, the way is to increase our inner awareness. As we increase our inner awareness the spell of the outer world and all its alluring promises breaks.
There is the story of the blackbird who found a piece of bread. All the other birds were drawn to him, flocked around him and begun following him around. After a while he let go of the piece of bread, when he did all the other birds went too. He had let go of the bread and in doing so had gained the open sky.
Spirituality is to have the faith and strength to let go and in doing so we discover the world.
Another big part of letting go is to forgive the past; to let go of all the negative and resentful feelings we are holding onto. Doctors are even now saying how holding onto these types of feelings can affect our physical wellness. Forgive your past, send it love. See the benefits of doing this, what the result will be, and let go. When you do you will move forward.
The path of spirituality is a challenging one but a very rewarding one.
Smart abundance
a) Once you have let go you can truly begin accumulating. This journey is simply opening ourselves to our own reality. Nothing is outside of ourselves, all is within. This is what meditation is for: to connect us to our treasure store within; to access our own inner wealth; to fill our self with a world of experiences and accumulate an abundance of peace, love and wisdom.
Spirituality says seek the truth within and you will find the wisdom you yearn for and the answers to questions longed for.
b) Whatever we give comes back to us; good or negative. There is no getting around this. This is the law of cause and effect, of karma. So, whatever you want to experience and aren’t, give that away. If I give respect, space, honour, attention… then this is what comes back to me.
When we hold on to things we diminish, when we give our heart opens and we grow. Accept all that is happening, see the benefit and align yourself with ‘you.’ Don’t waste time blaming and asking ‘Why me?’ Sow the seeds of peace and love, you are guaranteed they will come back into the garden of your life. Have faith and patience, by flowing with the river of being we will reach the ocean of fulfillment.
Spirituality is allowing your love to become manifest.
