Mind Benefits

The 1st faculty of I the soul is the mind. The mind can be likened to an innocent child, whatever food you give it will accept it. Then the child gets used to it and demands more and more.
The 2nd faculty is inner wisdom, the power to analyse and train the mind. The mind doesn’t know what is right or wrong, it will surrender itself to wisdom as we train it.
The 3rd is the intellect, will power. The mind plays tricks on us but with will power eventually we will take it where we want it to go.

Exercises: – Daily- focus on positive thoughts and take some time out. Meditation is the best and most successful way to make your mind positive. Start with the deep desire to be positive. ‘This is where I want to go, what I what to do’. Then be patient with yourself. We can’t expect miracles after just one day, although the desire to change is a miracle in itself.
Be aware of negative energy from outside, but don’t allow it to occupy your mind. When people are negative they want to get rid of it, you don’t have to take it though. Why would I take it?

Excuses:
I don’t have a minute for myself’. This is lack of self respect. If I don’t treat myself kindly, how can I help others?

‘Why me?’ Because you are the most capable person to deal with that situation. If I maintain this self respect, I can give time to myself.

Self respect gives me enthusiasm to do more and allows me to let go of laziness and carelessness. If I value myself I am able to put that energy in it.

Self respect + discipline helps me maintain constant practice. Bring newness and creativity within that.

Just like a child, remind your mind: ‘Don’t do this’. We have to discipline ourselves. Sustain it until it becomes a good habit.
1. Have a vision for yourself.
2. Work to get there.
3. Review it, otherwise you get lost and caught up in something else. If you don’t polish your aim regularly it loses its sparkle.
