Inner Wizard – Deep Inner Magic

In mythology wizards appear in the roles of advisors to overthrown kings empowering them to regain their lost kingdoms.

What are the abilities of a powerful wizard?

1. To have focused and concentrated thoughts (mastery of the mind)

Has it ever happened that you have thought of something… and then it has happened? This is the power of thought! A good illustration of this is Masaru Emoto’s research on the affect of thoughts on the formations adopted by water crystals. He has photographed water crystals before and after exposure to specific types of thought, e.g. prayer and meditation turn ‘lumps’ into beautiful crystalline flakes and anger does the reverse. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masaru_Emoto.

Just think about this: the human body is about 70% water so as we walk around and direct our thoughts to others…

To be able to develop focused and concentrated thinking we need to still the chatter of the mind and allow it to become silent.

2. To direct the mind in a chosen direction (expert decision making)

This is the part of the intellect (understanding) and conscience. We use these two to make decisions. How content are you with your life i.e. with your decisions and the outcomes they have brought? In mythological wizard had the ability to see into the future and direct the king accordingly to enable him to make the decisions that would lead him to reclaiming his lost kingdom. Metaphorically the wizard is our conscience and the kingdom is our lost inner strengths, talents and qualities i.e. our internal richness of being. We seem to have lost the ability to hear our own wizards, the voices of others, society, etc are louder than his. We know when we have not followed the wizard’s advice though… Oh no! Why did I do that! I knew I shouldn’t have and now look what has happened! We need to learn to hear and listen once again to what our personal wizard is telling us.

Imagine that you are in a dessert and that you have lost your child. You know that the only hope of finding him is to become quiet and concentrate to hear any sound from him.

We have so many voices in our head how can we know if it really is the wizard? A guide is that if a voice is saying a) I feel it is usually coming from emotions / feelings; b) I think then usually from mind but if c) I know it is more than likely to be the wizard, even the I know it is the right thing but I don’t want to.

3. To choose how to respond to situations (mastery of the self)

Within your spirit you have all the male (e.g. courage) and female (e.g. gentleness) qualities and all the qualities of a king to those of a slave. The king is both our past and our future potential, this rich and noble character is buried deep within you and he lacks nothing.

Picture an old vinyl record and an old style record player with a turntable and a needle. Imagine that this record is like your soul with each groove being a different recording relating to past experiences or a quality/emotion e.g. determination, love, anger, irritation, etc. Now it is for you to choose which song is to be played, which groove to place the needle in. The ones you play the most move to the top of your play list and so become those most easily to hand.

If you truly want to regain power over yourself, openly say so and your wizard will appear. When there is a true and noble intent help always comes, this is providence. It may seem at times that things are not happening or even going wrong, this is because the wizard will block your path if you have gone down a side street.

As you progress down the right road others will automatically benefit too, the more you shine the more you enable others to shine too.

A few tips from Harry Potter!

i) Your wand equates to your focused thoughts directed by your intellect in the direction you choose (points 1 and 2 above working together)

ii) The boggart (it takes the form of whatever you fear): to beat fear face your fear and then think of something funny about it… then point your wand at your fear and say: riddikulus.

iii) The dementors: the dementor only takes from the world, in contrast a wizard only adds beauty to the world, never taking only giving.
