How To Be Good Part 2: Greatness

‘Good enough will no longer cut it’. ‘Good’ is the enemy of ‘great’. Stretch, expand the possibilities, reach your greatness. If I admire the greatness in others, I too can be great.
My complacency, my comfort zones stop me. Others see me as good and I get comfortable. If I know I need to work on things I pay attention to how to develop those virtues in my life. Divinity is becoming full and whole inside, reaching perfection and greatness.

How to move from good to great?
– As I drop my masks and am willing to change; with that humility, my greatness comes out.
– Greatness is something that happens as you move towards an aim.

Exercise: Take up a couple of qualities and give your mind something to work with, get busy thinking about the good things.

– Realise and emerge the dignity of divinity; experience the wholeness, let that be the driving force behind what you do.
– Create an outline, your aim, of how you want to be in your mind, then colour it in. Frame that picture by bringing it to life.
– Work with your strengths. Be aware of your weaknesses but focus on your strengths.

Exercise: Go into silence, experience peace. In that peace you feel joy, you totally relax. Then open your eyes and let that power flow into the world. With this exercise you allow yourself to go into a good space and then you share it. You serve others, you lead, inspire, share and contribute.

When I am great, I can lead and control my:
– emotions: I deal with them rather than suppress them. I step back from the emotion, the cloud.
– responses and actions: I first think and then do.
– thoughts: with the power of my thoughts I serve the community around me.

Why do I want to shift and do this?
– When I live with my goodness/values fully I automatically move to my greatness, this gives me integrity and peace.
– What I am doing is only a drop in the ocean, but even that is valuable.
