Complete Mind Makeover

Thoughts become things and ripple out into the universe. Your thoughts don’t just exist in isolation, they affect the world. Pure thoughts make your face shine. The mind is a powerful tool and resource. What do you want to achieve with a mind makeover?

1. Getting ready for a mind makeover
Observe, accept and re-direct the mind.
Key point: You are not your mind but a being who can observe your thoughts, which is the first lesson of meditation (to become more aware of how the mind works). Can you feel your presence? If so you can witness the space between your thoughts. Witness and then you can direct them in a positive direction.

Good cleansing of the old dirt is required before the new can be built up. ‘Clean’ means I can start to feel comfortable being with myself.

Toxic things for the soul are wasteful, critical and judgmental thoughts; thinking of others and thinking the same thought over and over again.

To cleanse,
– be aware of the quality of your thoughts but do not identify yourself with the thoughts.

– watch them come and allow them to pass. They come to pass. Nothing stays in the mind.

My aim is
– to think less and for the thoughts I do think to be high quality, determined and purposeful ones.
– to able to steer and re-direct my thoughts and become more efficient in my thinking.

2. The tone/foundation of a makeover
We all need a very strong foundation:
Self respect: Retreat to the very core of yourself and sit there in absolute stillness and tap into your original qualities.
Discipline: Getting up early and reading/studying something spiritual. The early morning is the foundation of your life. In the early morning the atmosphere is purer. What you feed your mind first thing in the morning is very important. The creative brain has the habit of remembering what you thought about in the morning throughout the day.
Think: Think about your own truth. Ask yourself: ‘What does this mean to me in my life? How can I experience this in my life?’ Take one thing and stay with it for a while, go into its depth and allow your mind to play with it. This makes you spiritually strong.

Create more space between your thoughts by staying with a thought as long as you can. Allow yourself to feel its quality and to hold it. Hold a thought and absorb it. Over a period of time, it will become easier to remember. Recall that and re-experience it.

Recall, remember, experience, re-experience.

During the day you can take just one minute at a regular interval and allow yourself to tap into that experience.

Exercise: Observe, see what you are thinking and feeling. Be present. You will see how your energy rises in the next 20 minutes. What is on your mind doesn’t matter. The key is being able to observe your mind. Play more games with it. By seeing that there is a still part of you and getting comfortable with it you can direct your mind into an experience.

3. Moisturise
What nourishes and enriches the mind?
– Having fun with the truth.
– Love, recall experiences of love. When you act out of love your conscience is clear and so doesn’t bite and so you feel at peace with yourself.

4. Beauty of the mind
– Honesty and clarity. With love, the more honesty there is the more my mind will be at peace. Your mind will become peaceful when you live aligned with your conscience. There is joy in honesty. Develop the ability to witness what is going on and give love, redirect the mind gently in a new direction.

Love your mind. Choose what food – thoughts – you give to it. Food for the body is important as well. Energy of food affects the direction, quality and speed of your mind.
