Into Your Inner Space
Put everything down, all your responsibilities, all the roles you play in life, everything that’s important to you. Put it all down. You can come back to it later if you want. But for now, take a break. Give your body a break. Give your mind a break.
Relax into the chair. Relax your feet, your legs, your thighs. Loosen your arms, your hands, your fingers. Relax your stomach muscles, your chest. Rest your back comfortably and feel every muscle in your back unwind. Allow your shoulders to gently sink down, relax your neck, soften your facial muscles. Relax your jaw, your cheeks, your mouth, your nose, the space between your eyebrows. All the tightness melts away, the stiffness drops away, the tension dissolves. Pressure, stress, strain, no longer lingers.
Slowly draw your attention inwards, into your inner space and ease into the stillness of your being. Become centred within this stillness. Here there’s deep relaxation and well-being.
Now slowly draw your attention back to the room and for a few moments do nothing. Focus on nothing, no image, no thought. Simply sit quietly for a few moments.
