A specific request?
When you put a very specific thought out to the cosmos, it will happen. Our thoughts are a powerful energy and they do come back to us.
A powerful thought: one in which I don’t entertain any other possibility happening, only that this will happen for me.
A more general request?
If you are not so sure what you want but know that ‘I want my life to be special’ for example, put this thought out. What comes back to you will most likely be beyond your dreams.
Before asking consider:
– carefully what you ask for, as you will receive.
– the longer term implications of your request.
– are you thinking just for you or for the whole world?
The cosmos means the universe considered as a closed system and within its own order. Today our universe seems to be in massive chaos. By calling the universe the cosmos, we are acknowledging that there must be some order in this chaos i.e. that on the surface we see chaos but underneath something more is going on.
Working with the cosmos?
There are laws by which the cosmos works. These are subtle laws, but when we work with them we can benefit not just ourselves but the entire human family and the world itself. To work with the cosmos is to work at the level of intention.
The intentions behind our thoughts and actions are very important and have a big impact. An action may be the same on the surface but the result will be different depending on our intention behind it.
Today there is negativity in human consciousness resulting in our intentions being swayed by greed and ego for example. Look at our environment, it has become very chaotic. This chaos is a result of our having gone against the laws that govern nature (exploitation has the intention of greed behind it, for example) and now we are seeing nature reacting in a strong way.
Helping to heal the world?
Ultimately what we all want of life is to be happy. Do I want this just for myself alone or for all in the world? Are my intentions selfless or selfish? Do I even consider the impact of my actions on myself, others and the world?
Ghandi said that before acting to bring in front of you the poorest person in the world and ask if this action will benefit them or not, then you will know what to do.
A selfless intention is one that is pure, with the cosmos, seeks to benefit many. There will be no guilty feeling about it. Selfless intentions create a flow and impossible things happen easily, others turn up to help and happiness is brought to many.
If my intentions are limited i.e. they have an element of wanting something, such as, for others to like me or to impress, then I am serving my own ego. I will achieve what I want but at the expense of others and there will be resistance not easy flow.
Be patient. It is important not to worry or see possible obstacles. Just know that the right thing will happen at right time. Set your consciousness (intent) right and the rest will follow. If we become impatient we are introducing ‘force’ and we negate our pure intention, pure intentions are free of all expectations.
Your intention does matter
Every drop makes the ocean. It matters to you and to those around you. There is a story of a boy and his father walking along a beach on which 100s of starfish had been washed ashore. The boy kept picking them up and throwing them back in as they walked along. His father said to him to leave then as there were too many and so no point. The boy immediately picked up another one and threw it back saying ‘It made a difference to that one’.
