Dare to Live: Dance in Joy

Dare to Live_ Dance in Joy

Internally, when there is peace, our faces smile and we dance in joy. Re-discover your inner peace and happiness and you will dance with joy.

Are you ready to dance with joy?
To dance through life with joy we just need to make sure that our feet never touch the ground- that we never get stuck in the mud. When a child is learning to walk at first they want someone to hold their hands. Once they have mastered walking though, they no longer want anyone to hold their hands and parents are happy on seeing this. Human beings are meant to be independent; our original nature is to be independent and free.

Knowing Myself
Sometimes in life we experience pain and sorrow from our relationships. Sometimes there is the feeling of not having a future; that there is no meaning or that that there is no enrichment/ learning/ newness in life. Each and every human being has within themselves their original attainment. We lose our sense of it when we become negatively influenced by our relationships and/or our environment. Then we feel empty internally. Despite all the splendour we see in the world around us we experience a lack of attainment.

Look inwards and become aware of your own being. When we are ‘body-conscious’ we are focused outwards. Looking around all the time our mind can not be peaceful. Look inwards and become aware of the being within. Let your mind become silent. Allow yourself to become silent. Silent and our head becomes cool and the good and riches within us becomes visible to us.

‘In this silence you can connect with the Supreme who is silent. In that connection you can experience light and might and bring light into the world.’

Dancing feet
(i) The detached observer
How many times in a day does your mood change? Should our mood change with others moods / situations? Is it possible to remain peaceful, loving, happy and content independent of external situations?

The key is to become a detached observer. As a detached observer you watch the play (life) and you see and enjoy the newness of each passing scene. You are not judging what you see as right or wrong. You can see the beauty and good in every scene.

(ii) Desires, attachments and expectations stop us from dancing; our feet become stuck in the mud. Firstly, become free of wanting. You know how it is! We have one desire and when it is fulfilled, that isn’t it, there is another and another and another… With wanting we will never be able to experience contentment.

The alternative is to live knowing that whatever I need will come to me as and when I need it. It is to take the best from everything that comes to me and to use everything that I have in a worthwhile way. It also means to only take what I need- to do this is to live truthfully and this gives me more strength and my life becomes simple and light. I am a burden to no-one and no-one is a burden to me. I become ‘carefree’.

(iii) Patience, tolerance and contentment
To remain content whilst living in this world we need to have both patience and tolerance. When we have patience everything is okay. When there is patience we experience peace. When there is peace there is love. Then the power of tolerance. This power enables us to accept and to not get upset when things happen. Instead of complaining when something happens tolerance allows us to settle it or fix it.

(iv) Know your destination
Feeling heavy and confused: I don’t know? In Hindi ‘I don’t know’ means to not to know one’s destination / what direction to go in. Take time to discover and know your destination. You will then know what you have to do. Learn how to use your heart: a true heart says: I am going to change, and not: how will I change? Happiness then emerges from within- I do not have to wait for it to come to me. I can create it for myself.

(v) Understand the impact of your actions
Perform such actions that your conscience never bites. Perform charitable actions and your heart will open. Perform actions that inspire others and give them the strength and courage to do the same.

(VI) Faith, courage and truth
Have faith in the self and in God. Never question or doubt the self. It is definitely possible. When we maintain the faith that something can happen it will happen. Have the courage to realize the self and your true qualities and bring that realization into your life. Then there is nothing artificial (no artificial nature, weaknesses or bad habits) Everything artificial falls away and your life becomes flawless and a diamond life.

When we have attainment we have natural good wishes for others and our life becomes meaningful and worth living.
