Day 25: Meditation Challenge

Day25_Star

Starry Sky

Draw in a long, slow, deep breath, breathing in and out, and do this again a few more times, and let your breathing become even. With each breath out, release the tension. With each breath in, breathe in relaxation.

Relax your forehead, your eyes, your ears, your mouth, your cheeks and your jaw. Relax your neck and all the muscles in your shoulders, your arms and all the way down to the tips of your fingers. Relax all the muscles in your back, relax your chest, your legs and all the way down to the tips of your toes.

Remove your mind from everything and everyone, and go deeper and deeper into a relaxed state of mind. Imagine your mind becoming as clear as the clearest night sky. Imagine that the sky is filled with bright clusters of stars, more than you can count.

Let your attention rise high above into the starry night sky, until you reach one of the stars. Merge all your attention into this star. Now, let your attention become like a star, radiant and bright. Feeling radiant and bright, bring your attention back to your surroundings and relax into the present moment.

Day 25: Meditation Challenge

Oh No! I Forgot!
We all have great intentions. But it’s so easy to get caught up in our routines and forget our good intentions. Here’s a simple way to help you establish a daily meditation practice: Set a reminder. Stick a post-it-note that says “meditate,” somewhere where you’ll see it. Or set reminders digitally. Then you’re not likely to forget.
