The universal laws of:
–giving and receiving (to give is to receive).
–harmony (to live in harmony with others and our environment).
–non-violence (towards the self and others).
–respect (of self-respect and respect for others). When we lack self-respect we look for respect from others; when we have self-respect we give respect to others automatically.
–’body’ (circadian rhythms): of the bodies natural rhythms (there is a time to eat, to sleep…).
–essence and expansion: we too need to keep returning to our essence between ‘expansions’ (expressing our essence). If we do not come back to our essence we get lost in the expansion, we end up talking and talking for the sake of it having forgotten what we wanted to say.
–responsibility: each of us is responsible for our own thoughts, feelings and actions. We cannot blame others for what we are thinking and feeling. In blaming we actually give away our power to the situation or person we are blaming. We are all creative beings and are as such fully responsible for our thoughts and feelings. When we blame we get caught in the cycle of fear-anger-sadness-fear-anger-sadness. When we accept responsibility we empower ourselves, it is as if we are an actor in a big cosmic drama and we are in charge our part.
Asking the right questions can bring us in touch with our purpose and align us with the universal laws, for example:
– How would it be if I was doing what I loved and loving what I do?
– How would it be if I had no fear?
– What is life asking of me?
– What am I doing right now?
– What am I focusing on just now?
– What is drawing my attention?
– Am I present or absent?
When we are in the fast spin of negative thoughts it means we are lacking inner power at that time. In order to shift from thinking negatively to thinking positively we need to empower ourselves.
Who is the most important person in your life? You are. So, make an appointment with yourself and get to know yourself. Create a dialogue with yourself. The best time is first thing in the morning, as this sets you up for the day ahead.
a) make sure that you always wake up with an affirming positive thought
b) give 10 minutes to have a dialogue with you- get to know yourself.
