Is the the cosmos actually in need of ‘ordering’ or re-ordering? Well, the external world we live in is definitely in a lot of turmoil and chaos at present, and are we not all, in one way or another, desiring to experience a world of well-being, harmony and order? If you dig deep you will probably find that the underlying motive for almost everything that you do is just this.
Why are we in such dis-order? The underlying reason seems to come down to being that individually we have fallen into the wrong awareness of ourselves and the world. This has led us into confusion and this confusion has spread out into the world.
Two worlds? Our individual inner worlds and then the outer world. Observe your inner world. Is it ordered or is your mind all over the place, jumping here & there, being pulled this way-that way? How long can you concentrate on one thing of your own choosing for?
Our inner worlds are created by our thoughts and feelings, what we think and feel affecting our state of mind, body, relationships, behaviour and so the outer world around us. We could say that our outer world is ‘ordered’ in the sense that it reflects our inner worlds, it is just that for most of us our inner worlds have become rather chaotic so creating a chaotic outer one. In its turn the chaos of the external world then impacts on our inner worlds and we can end up feeling as if the world is falling in on us.
Can we bring about an ordered and harmonious cosmos? Take the physical sun and how it works in the physical world. We just need to become such spiritual suns of our own inner worlds. When we do we can we realign and restore our own consciousness and in doing so restore the harmony of the world.
Creating order in our own inner cosmos
Firstly we need to overcome these five influences:
1) the physical body, we have become trapped in our bodies (image). The body is my vehicle, not who I am.
2) the senses, these spin us around creating turmoil and confusion. We become so tossed around that we end up spiritually sea-sick.
3) the influence of others, we are cajoled and lead by the nose into doing things that we don’t want to. We fear what they might think and say.
4) the atmosphere, today’s atmosphere is very turbulent with so many inputs (feeling/emotions/ideas) into it, these all impact on us.
5) the past, we tend to carry this around with us. Memories or the feeling of a memory come back to torment us. We go over things again and again saying: I should have/if only/why didn’t I etc.
Secondly is to transcend, and in so doing to move into freedom.
Step 1: Silence. In winter nature goes into its own silent underground world and re-generates. Similarly, go into your own inner world and connect to the seed of your consciousness. This allows us to overcome the influences listed above, gives us space and the chance to create a new perception.
Step 2: Experience. We are desperate to experience peace, love, happiness and well-being. We invest so much in external ‘things’ that we think they will give us one or other of these experiences. They are the ‘promise’ of most advertisements. Now connect with your own dormant energies of peace, love and happiness. In activating our inner ‘blueprint’ we empower ourselves and free ourselves from depending on external supports to experience peace, love and happiness.
Step 3: The Universe. Now we begin to see the bigger picture and the connectedness of everything. Our awareness begins to open up and we move into the unlimited.
Step 4: Awareness and Clarity. We begin to see the depth and meaning of things. Knowing and understanding open up, we no longer judge. The soul awakens to itself. We can see our own world and the worlds of others. We can also see how we can help each other by lifting each other up.
Step 5: God-Consciousness/Awareness. We have a moment of experience and then we go out the door and forget, it is like spiritual amnesia. We need a point of stability in this sea of change. The only stable thing in this physical world is our true inner self and when we stabilize our mind on God we receive His help to maintain and grow this spiritual awareness. Spirituality is about remembering who I am.
Step 6: Being. We have now moved beyond the limited and into the light, we are just in a state of being. It is as if I have no body, I am light. God is light. I exist in a world of light. This brings us an incredible awareness and it is as if the point that I am explodes into being and from that comes new creation.
