Day 21: Meditation Challenge

Day21_Oasis

Cool Oasis

Take a deep breath in and out. And again. One more deep breath in and out. Now let your breathing flow naturally.

Visualise yourself sitting by an oasis in a desert, sitting in the shade, under a blanket of palm trees. As far as the eyes can see, there are sand dunes. Notice the changing light and shade on the sand dunes, giving it a changing appearance.

Sitting by the oasis with a pool in front of you, dip your toes in the water and let the cool water soothe your feet. Let this soothing cool feeling of serenity flow from your feet to your legs, knees, hips. Let serenity flow over your upper body and into your back and shoulders, down your arms and through your hands. Feel the soothing serenity flow from your neck into all the muscles in your face. And as you rest your eyes on the immense blue of the desert sky, let it refresh your eyes.

Enjoying the vastness of the desert, absorb the stillness and the quiet. Be completely at ease with yourself. Now it’s time to leave the oasis and bring the feeling of soothing serenity back to your present surroundings. Slowly open your eyes if they’re closed, and sit quietly for a bit.

Day 21: Meditation Challenge

What To Do After.
Once you’ve finished your meditation, now what? Don’t immediately get up and rush off. Take a moment at the end of your meditation to check how you feel, check if there’s a change in your attitude. Then once you feel ready, get up slowly and smile as you carry your meditation experience into the next moment.
